Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It gives me a great pleasure to extend my cordial invitation to you
all to attend Fourth World Congress on Leishmania and Leishmaniasis
(Worldleish4) which is going to be held at Scientific Convention
Center Lucknow, India, from February 3 to 7, 2009.
As you remember, First World Congress on Leishmaniasis (Worldleish1)
held in Istanbul, Turkey in 1997 was a great success. The second one
(Worldleish2) held in Crete, Greece in 2001, was also very nice and
successful one. The third Congress (Worldleish3) held in Sicily,
Italy in 2005 had a great success with 650 participants from all
over the World.
We (The founders of Worldleish Congresses) set up website in
internet and asked all Leishmaniacs to vote most suitable place or
country for Fourth World Congress on Leishmaniasis. Indian
scientists were the only one responding to our website announcement.
We also asked our scientific committee members for their opinion and
got positive answer from all of them to organize Worldleish4 in
Lucknow, India.
In Worldleish4, we hope to re-unite Leishmaniacs world-wide by
providing a forum for presenting the state-of-the art research. Thus
scientists from all over the world will have the opportunity to
share their findings, thoughts and progress. The aim of this
congress will be to promote interaction and cooperation between
scientists resulting in new solutions to regional or global problems
on Leishmaniasis. Research on these parasites and disease they
cause, have exploded over the last decade and Leishmania has also
proven to be an excellent model for future studies on host parasite
and host-vector interaction, immunological mechanisms, molecular
biology, genetic studies, epidemiology and other areas.
Please send your comments, suggestions and help organizers to have
an excellent and memorable congress in Lucknow, India. As you know,
success of this congress depends a great deal on the assistance and
cooperation of the scientists who have devoted their mental strength
and time to organize scientific sessions. On behalf of the
organizing committee, I would like to invite you all cordially again
to attend WORLDLEISH4 and looking forward to see you all
Leishmaniacs in Lucknow, India.
